  • Specificity
DC-SIGN (CT) [This rabbit antibody recognizes aa 384-404 of human DC-SIGN, a dendritic cell receptor.] This antibody recognizes an epitope at the C-terminus of human DC-SIGN, a dendritic cell receptor that can capture and transport HIV from mucosal areas to remote lymph nodes where HIV is then transferred to CD4+ T lymphocytes. Multiple strains of HIV-1, HIV-2, and SIV bind to dendritic cells via DC-SIGN. DC-SIGN is expressed in mucosal tissues, placenta, small intestine, and rectum.
  • Form
100 ug IgG in PBS, pH 7.4, purified by immunoaffinity chromatography.
  • Storage_stability
This antibody is stable for at least one (1) year at -20 degree C. Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
  • Tested_application
    Immunoblot
  • Properties
If you buy Antibodies supplied by MyBioSource they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.
  • Group
    Polyclonals and antibodies
  • About
Polyclonals can be used for Western blot, immunohistochemistry on frozen slices or parrafin fixed tissues. The advantage is that there are more epitopes available in a polyclonal antiserum to detect the proteins than in monoclonal sera.

    DC-SIGN (CT) Polyclonal Antibody
  • Technique
Polyclonal, Antibody, antibodies against human proteins, antibodies for, Polyclonal antibodies (pAbs) are mostly rabbit or goat antibodies that are secreted by different B cells, whereas monoclonal antibodies come from a single N cell lineage. Pabs are a collection of immunoglobulin molecules that react against a specific antigen, each identifying a different epitope.
