Specificity and cross reactivityInfluenza A Hemagglutinin H5 (Avian H5N1) Reacts with Hemagglutinin H5 in Hemagglutinin Inhibition (HI) test. Reacts with H5N1, H5N2 and H5N9 strains. Does not cross react with other hemagglutinin types (H1, H2, H3, H4, H6, H7, H8, H9, H10, H11, H12, H; Since it is not possible to test each and every species our knowledge on the corss reactivity of the antibodies is limited. This particular antibody might cross react with speacies outside of the listed ones.

DescriptionInfluenza A and B H1N1 H3N2 Hemagglutinin-nucleoprotein recombinant proteins, peptides and antibodies detect a virus commonly known as "the flu". Influenza is an infectious disease caused by an influenza virus. Symptoms can be mild to severe. The most common symptoms include a high fever, runny nose, sore throat, muscle pains, headache, coughing, and feeling tired. These symptoms typically begin two days after exposure to the virus and most last less than a week. The cough, however, may last for more than two weeks. In children, there may be nausea and vomiting, but these are not common in adults.
