Scientific context
This blocking peptide can be used as a control to neutralize LRIG1 | Lig-1 before immunolocalization or western blot. Furter details are provided below.LRIG1 protein Q96JA1 is coded by a gene on a chromosome band 3p14.3, this region is known to be deleted in various human cancers. LRIG1 is considered to be a a tumour suppressor gene in humans. LRIG1 is an integral cell-surface membrane protein that is expressed by specific cells in various human tissues and that its 143-kDa form might be cleaved into 111-kDa and 32-kDa fragments. The LRIG1 protein may inhibit the growth of tumors of glial cells and the down-regulation of the LRIG1 gene may be involved in the development and progression of the tumor.

Description
Peptides short amino acid chains or epitopes or blocking antagonists. The shortest peptides are dipeptides, consisting of 2 amino acids joined by a single peptide bond, followed by tripeptides, tetra peptides, ... till polypeptides that are long, continuous, and unbranched synthetic peptide chains. These biological oligomers and polymers can be Solid-phase peptide synthesis (SPPS), or in continue produced for custom peptide synthesis projects. The High-efficiency solid phase peptide synthesis (HE-SPPS) is give very low production costs.

Technique
blocking peptide, Blocking, peptide, blocking peptides, agisera made this blocking amino acid sequence or peptide to block the gene target in a volume of 1. For western blot it is often requested to block your antibody and to see the band of the analyzed protein disappear. This is called a negative control by blocking the WB antibody. peptides
