8-HYDROXYGUANOSINE This item recognises 8-hydroxyguanosine (8-OG), a modified base which occurs in DNA as a result of oxidative stress. 8-hydroxy-2'-deoxyguanosine (8-OHdG) has become a sensitive marker of oxidative damage in cellular DNA and has been reported to be excreted in the urine. Levels of 8-OHdG have been shown to increase on exposure to ionizing radiation and tobacco smoke. This item cross reacts completely with 8-OHdG. This item does not cross react with other naturally occurring nucleotides.

In order to retain the quality and the affinity of productone unchanged, please, avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. For antibodies that are in liquid form or reconstituted lyophilized antibodies small amounts could become entrapped on the seal or the walls of the tube. Prior to use briefly centrifuge the vial to gather all the solution on the bottom.

This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.
