STAT4 This item recognises mouse STAT4, a transcription factor which is essential for mediating responses to interleukin-12 (IL-12) in lymphocytes, and for the function and development of T helper cells. _x000D__x000D_STAT4 is activated in response to cytokine cell signalling, which first activates the kinases Tyk2 and Jak2. These in turn phosphorylate and activate STAT4, which forms homo- or heterodimers with other STAT proteins, and translocates to the nucleus. Here STAT4 can bind DNA and directly activate cytokine target genes. _x000D__x000D_Stat4 expression is restricted to myeloid cells, thymus and testis, where it exists in two forms; full length STAT4 (STAT4?), and an isoform lacking the C-terminal amino-acids that comprise the transactivation domain (STAT4?).

In order to retain the quality and the affinity of productone unchanged, please, avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. For antibodies that are in liquid form or reconstituted lyophilized antibodies small amounts could become entrapped on the seal or the walls of the tube. Prior to use briefly centrifuge the vial to gather all the solution on the bottom.

This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided. Antibody for research use.
