  CREB This item is specific for rat cyclic AMP response element binding protein (CREB), when phosphorylated at serine 133. _x000D__x000D_CREB is a member of the leucine zipper family of transcription factors, which is involved in a wide range of intracellular signalling processes. _x000D__x000D_Phosphorylation of serine 133 has been demonstrated by several protein kinases, including protein kinase A (PKA), mitogen activated protein kinase (MAPK) and Ca2+ /calmodulin-dependent protein kinase (CaMK). This phophorylation is required for CREB mediated transcription.
