  • Additonal Description
UniProt: Q96LB1. MRGPRX2 or cortistatin receptor is a 330 amino acid protein that belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family. Mas-related G-protein coupled receptors (Mrgprs) represent a large family of orphan receptors specifically expressed in small-diameter nociceptive primary sensory neurons. Physiological functions include mediation of itch or regulation of persistent pathological pain. Cortistatin-14, which is involved in sleep regulation, locomotor activity, and cortical function, seems to be a high potency ligand at this receptor. Also, the multifunctional antibacterial protein LL-37 (H-7298) has been shown to activate cells presumably through MRGPRX2. Application: IHC (p)
  • Properties
Human proteins, cDNA and human recombinants are used in human reactive ELISA kits and to produce anti-human mono and polyclonal antibodies. Modern humans (Homo sapiens, primarily ssp. Homo sapiens sapiens). Depending on the epitopes used human ELISA kits can be cross reactive to many other species. Mainly analyzed are human serum, plasma, urine, saliva, human cell culture supernatants and biological samples.
