  • Long description
A central concept in tumor immunology is that malignancies bear tumor associated antigens, which are not or to a much lesser degree found in normal tissues. These antigens can be used as distinctive markers in diagnosis and therapy. As a consequence, monoclonal antibodies to such antigens may represent useful tools for histopathology, immunoscintigraphy and for immunotherapy.
  • Antibody come from
OVTL16 is a Mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody derived by fusion of SP2/0 Mouse myeloma cells with spleen cells from a BALB/c Mouse immunized with cyst fluid, obtained from a patient with a poorly differentiated Human ovarian carcinoma.
  • Other description
Each vial contains 100 ul 1 mg/ml purified monoclonal antibody in PBS containing 0.09% sodium azide.
  • Clone

Mouse anti Ovarian Cancer associated antigen Antibody
  • Antibody is raised in
    Mouse
  • Antibody s reacts with
    Human
  • Antibody s reacts with these species
This antibody doesn't cross react with other species
  • Antibody s specificity
OVTL16 recognizes a conformational epitope on ovarian carcinoma membrane antigen OA3 which is present in ovarian carcinomas and in cyst fluids obtained from these carcinomas, as well as in oviductal carcinomas and some endometrial carcinomas.
  • Research interest
    Cancer
  • Application
    Immunohistochemistry (frozen)
  • Antibody s suited for
OVTL16 is suitable for immunohistochemistry on frozen tissues and for staining with avidin-biotinylated Horseradish peroxidase complex (ABC) as detection reagent. Optimal antibody dilution should be determined by titration.
  • Storage
Store at 4oC, or in small aliquots at –20oC.

  • Warnings
This product is intended FOR RESEARCH USE ONLY, and FOR TESTS IN VITRO, not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures involving humans or animals. This product contains sodium azide. To prevent formation of toxic vapors, do not mix with strong acidic solutions. To prevent formation of potentially explosive metallic azides in metal plumbing, always wash into drain with copious quantities of water. This datasheet is as accurate as reasonably achievable, but Nordic-MUbio accepts no liability for any inaccuracies or omissions in this information.
  • Description
This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided. Antigens are peptides or recombinant or native dependent on the production method.
  • Test
Mouse or mice from the Mus musculus species are used for production of mouse monoclonal antibodies or mabs and as research model for humans in your lab. Mouse are mature after 40 days for females and 55 days for males. The female mice are pregnant only 20 days and can give birth to 10 litters of 6-8 mice a year. Transgenic, knock-out, congenic and inbread strains are known for C57BL/6, A/J, BALB/c, SCID while the CD-1 is outbred as strain.
