• Long description
  Identification of CD8 on human suppressor/cytotoxic T cells expressing the 32 and 43,000 M.W. surface antigens. CD54, M.W. 90,000, antigen is the Intercellular Adhesion Molecule-1 (ICAM-1) and is the ligand for LFA-1 mediated adhesion. CD54 is weakly expressed on peripheral blood leukocytes. Upon activation the antigen is expressed strongly on B cells, T cells, macrophages and granulocytes. ICAM-1 is also inducible on endothelial cells, epithelial cells and fibroblasts.

  PBMC: Add 10 µl of MAB/10^6 PBMC in 100 µl PBS. Mix gently and incubate for 15 minutes at 2¼ to 8¼ C. Wash twice with PBS and analyze or fix with 0.5% v/v of paraformaldehyde in PBS and analyze. WHOLE BLOOD: Add 10 µl of MAB/100 µl of whole blood. Mix gently and incubate for 15 minutes at room temperature 20¼ C. Lyse the whole blood. Wash once with PBS and analyze or fix with 0.5% v/v of paraformaldehyde in PBS and analyze.   This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided. Cytotoxic T cells cluster differentiators for flow cytometry. This transmembrane glycoprotein is detected by monoclonals and has a lot of clones available with different affinity.
