DescriptionTNF receptor-associated factor 5, also known as RNF84, is a protein that in humans is encoded by the TRAF5 gene. The scaffold protein encoded by this gene is a member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor-associated factor(TRAF) protein family. Fluorescence in situ hybridization confirmed the regional localization of human TRAF5 to chromosome 1q32.2-q32.3. This protein is one of the components of a multiple protein complex which binds to tumor necrosis factor (TNF) receptor cytoplasmic domains and mediates TNF-induced activation. It is an adapter protein and signal transducer that links members of the tumor necrosis factor receptor family to different signaling pathways by association with the receptor cytoplasmic domain and kinases. It seems to be involved in apoptosis.
-
ImmunogenAn amino acid sequence from the N-terminus of human TNF receptor-associated factor 5 (HRFCQHCILSLREL) was used as the immunogen for this TRAF5 antibody.
-
StorageAfter reconstitution, the TRAF5 antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20 deg. Celcius or lower. Cycles of freezing and thawing can denaturate the peptide chains of the antibodies and reduce their sensitivity and/or change their affinity. Prepare aliqotes in such a manner so that freeze-thaw cycles are minimized. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
-
PropertiesIf you buy Antibodies supplied by NJS poly they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.
