• Description
  Stanniocalcin 2, also called STCRP and STC2, is a protein that in humans is encoded by the STC2 gene. By Western blot analysis, Jellinek et al.(2000) showed that STC1 is a secreted 31-kD doublet protein and STC2 is a secreted 32-kD protein. Autoradiographic analysis determined that Stanniocalcin 2 is not stored or phosphorylated intracellularly and that it undergoes constitutive secretion.
• Immunogen
  An amino acid sequence from the C-terminus of human Stanniocalcin 2 (SSEWEDEQSEYSDIRR) was used as the immunogen for this Stanniocalcin 2 antibody (100% homologous in human, mouse and rat).
• Storage
  After reconstitution, the Stanniocalcin 2 antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20 deg. Celcius or lower. Cycles of freezing and thawing can denaturate the peptide chains of the antibodies and reduce their sensitivity and/or change their affinity. Prepare aliqotes in such a manner so that freeze-thaw cycles are minimized. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
