  SIRT3 is an NAD-dependent protein deacetylase. Activates or deactivates mitochondrial target proteins by deacetylating key lysine residues. Known targets include ACSS1, IDH, GDH, PDHA1, SOD2, LCAD, SDHA and the ATP synthase subunit ATP5O. Contributes to the regulation of the cellular energy metabolism. Important for regulating tissue-specific ATP levels. [UniProt]
• Immunogen
  A portion of amino acids 304-334 from the mouse protein was used as the immunogen for this SIRT3 antibody.
• Storage
  Store at 4oC for up to one month. For long term, aliquot the SIRT3 antibody and store frozen at -20 deg. Celcius or lower. Cycles of freezing and thawing can denaturate the peptide chains of the antibodies and reduce their sensitivity and/or change their affinity. Prepare aliqotes in such a manner so that freeze-thaw cycles are minimized.
