• Description
  Heme oxygenase 1, also called HMOX1 and HO-1, an essential enzyme in heme catabolism, cleaves heme to form biliverdin, which is subsequently converted to bilirubin by biliverdin reductase, and carbon monoxide, a putative neurotransmitter. HO-1 activity is induced by its substrate heme and by various nonheme substances.
• Immunogen
  Mouse partial recombinant protein (AA 2-261) was used as the immunogen for this Heme Oxygenase 1 antibody.
• Storage
  After reconstitution, the Heme Oxygenase 1 antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20 deg. Celcius or lower. Cycles of freezing and thawing can denaturate the peptide chains of the antibodies and reduce their sensitivity and/or change their affinity. Prepare aliqotes in such a manner so that freeze-thaw cycles are minimized. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
