DescriptionCaspase-7, Apoptosis-related cysteine peptidase, is a human protein encoded by the CASP7 gene. CASP7 orthologs have been identified in nearly all mammals for which complete genome data are available. It is a member of the caspase (cysteine aspartate protease) family of proteins, and has been shown to be an executioner protein of apoptosis. Using radiation hybrid mapping, the gene was localized to human chromosome 10q25.1-q25.2. The orderly activation of CASP7 regulates microglia activation through a protein kinase C-delta (PRKCD)-dependent pathway.
-
ImmunogenAmino acids 117-198 of human Caspase-7 were used as the immunogen for the Caspase-7 antibody. This sequence is from the large subunit.
-
StorageAfter reconstitution, the Caspase-7 antibody may be kept for up to one month refrigerated at +4 degrees C.For long-term, aliquot and store at -20 deg. Celcius or lower. Cycles of freezing and thawing can denaturate the peptide chains of the antibodies and reduce their sensitivity and/or change their affinity. Prepare aliqotes in such a manner so that freeze-thaw cycles are minimized. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.

PropertiesIf you buy Antibodies supplied by NJS poly they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.
-
Additional descriptionHuman and some mouse caspases are active in apoptosis and cell death and even in necrosis and inflammation. CASP Gene and orthologous enzymes have been identifies successfully in the signal transduction cascade and pathways.
