Specificity

Specific for the ~78kD Synapsin I doublet protein phosphorylated at S9 in Western Blots of rat hippocampal lysates. The antibody also weakly labels the ~55kD Synapsin II, which has a similar phosphorylation site to that of S9 on Synapsin I.

Affinity Purified Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography.
Form

Supplied as a liquid in 10mM HEPES, pH 7.5, 150mM sodium chloride, 100ug/ml BSA and 50% glycerol.
Storage_stability

May be stored at 4 degree C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20 degree C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degree C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
