-
FormThe protein was lyophilized from a concentrated (1mg/ml) solution with 0.0045mM NaHCO3.Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.
-
Storage_stabilityLyophilized Leptin although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18 degree C. Upon reconstitution Leptin should be stored at 4 degree C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18 degree C.For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
-
PropertiesHorse (Equus ferus caballus) sera and plasma contain equine IgGs, Immunoglobulins. ELISA test are used to determine quantitatively the presence in horse serum of the antigen by a polyclonal antibody to the equine epitope selected for the ELISA kit. A blocking solution for the native horse or equine immunoglobulins in available in the ELISA protocol.

GeneHuman or mouse Leptin (from Greek λεπτός leptos, "thin") the "satiety hormone", is a hormone made by adipose cells that helps to regulate energy balance by inhibiting hunger. Leptin is opposed by the actions of the hormone ghrelin, the "hunger hormone". Both hormones act on receptors in the arcuate nucleus of the hypothalamus to regulate appetite to achieve energy homeostasis. ELISA kits and peptides and antibodies are available.
