-
SpecificityRabbit anti Pig TNF alpha antibody recognizes porcine tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNFα). TNFα is produced by a range of cells including macrophages, monocytes, T and B cells, neutrophils and endothelial cells. TNFα has a key regulatory role in the porcine immune response where it is involved in modulating the expression of numerous cytokines, growth factors, inflammatory mediators and acute phase proteins.

-
DescriptionThe Rabbit anti TNF Alpha is a α- or alpha protein sometimes glycoprotein present in blood. This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.

AboutPigs and the smaller guinea pigs are frequent used as models for humans. Rabbits are used for polyclonal antibody production by MyBioSource. Rabbit antibodies are very stable and can be stored for several days at room temperature. MyBioSource adds sodium azide and glycerol to enhance the stability of the rabbit polyclonal antibodies. Anti-human, anti mouse antibodies to highly immunogenic selected peptide sequences are" monoclonal like" since the epitope to which they are directed is less than 35 amino acids long.

GeneTumor necrosis factor (TNFa, tumor necrosis factor alpha, TNFα, cachexin, or cachectin) is a cell signaling protein (cytokine) involved in systemic inflammation and is one of the cytokines that make up the acute phase reaction. It is produced chiefly by activated macrophages, although it can be produced by many other cell types such as CD4+ lymphocytes, NK cells, neutrophils, mast cells, eosinophils, and neurons. TNFb or TNF beta also bin on TNF receptors for Th1 activation.
