Specificity
This item detects an epitope within the C-terminal region of human TAP1, also known as transporter associated with antigen processing 1. TAP1 is an 81kDa membrane-associated protein which is a member of the ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporter superfamily and together with the homologous subunit TAP2 forms the functional TAP complex. TAP1 is involved in the transport of antigenic peptides from the cytosol into the endoplasmic reticulum, where they associate with major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class I molecules. These complexes are presented at the cell surface to T-lymphocytes, which identify and remove infected or malignantly transformed cells. This item does not cross react with TAP2.

Storage_stability
Store at 4 degree C or at -20 degree C if preferred. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use. Shelf Life: 18 months from date of despatch.

Tested_application
ELISA (EIA), Flow cytometry (FC/FACS), Immunoprecipitation (IP), Western Blot (WB)

Description
This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided. Antibody against the Hu protein or peptide or recombinant supplied in 1 volumes. Ask for quote if you need bulk.

Properties
Human proteins, cDNA and human recombinants are used in human reactive ELISA kits and to produce anti-human mono and polyclonal antibodies. Modern humans (Homo sapiens, primarily ssp. Homo sapiens sapiens). Depending on the epitopes used human ELISA kits can be cross reactive to many other species. Mainly analyzed are human serum, plasma, urine, saliva, human cell culture supernatants and biological samples.

About
Rabbits are used for polyclonal antibody production by MyBioSource. Rabbit antibodies are very stable and can be stored for several days at room temperature. MyBioSource adds sodium azide and glycerol to enhance the stability of the rabbit polyclonal antibodies. Anti-human, anti mouse antibodies to highly immunogenic selected peptide sequences are" monoclonal like" since the epitope to which they are directed is less than 35 amino acids long.
