This item is specific for ferritin, a large globular protein found in the liver, intestines and spleen that functions as an iron storage complex. It consists of a mineral core of ferric oxide and a 24 subunit protein shell that assures solubility in an aqueous environment.This antibody shows 34% cross-reactivity with spleen ferritin and 20% with cardiac ferritin.
