  PROSTATE SPECIFIC ANTIGEN Prostate specific antigen (PSA) is a 32 kDa serine kinase produced by the epithelial cells of the prostate. Its function is to liquify the ejaculate, and it is believed to be involved with dissolving the cervical mucous cap allowing the sperm to enter. Elevated serum levels can be an indication of prostate cancer and are often used as a screening test. This antibody reacts with free PSA in ELISA.

  This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided. • Properties
