SpecificityThis item is specific for human C-reactive protein (CRP), a calcium-binding acute phase reactant belonging to the pentraxin family which is secreted into the plasma by the liver, in response to cytokine stimulation. In addition to binding to phosphocholine residues, CRP can bind to other autologous and extrinsic ligands on targets, including damaged cell membranes, ribonucleoprotein particles, apoptotic cells and constituents of micro-organisms, and may activate the classical complement pathway through C1q recognition, making CRP a factor in a variety of host defense mechanisms. Levels of plasma CRP are significantly increased during the acute phase response, tissue injury and infection and can be used as a marker of inflammation, disease progress and risk assessment of cardiovascular disease (CVD).

Storage_stabilityStore at 4 degree C or at -20 degree C if preferred. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use. Shelf Life: 18 months from date of despatch.

Tested_applicationELISA (EIA), Immunodiffusion (ID)
-
DescriptionThis antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided. Antibody against the Hu protein or peptide or recombinant supplied in 1 volumes. Ask for quote if you need bulk.

PropertiesHuman proteins, cDNA and human recombinants are used in human reactive ELISA kits and to produce anti-human mono and polyclonal antibodies. Modern humans (Homo sapiens, primarily ssp. Homo sapiens sapiens). Depending on the epitopes used human ELISA kits can be cross reactive to many other species. Mainly analyzed are human serum, plasma, urine, saliva, human cell culture supernatants and biological samples.

-
HostGoat, The goat polyclonal antibodies are directed against human genes or rabbit or mouse IgGs (H +L) chain primary antibodies and conjugated for detection. It are very good secondary antibodies that are affinity purified and have a good affinity themselves too. Often KLH is coupled to the antigen so anti KLH can be present in the vial.
