Specificity
Recognizes bovine desmoplakins 1 and 2 from stratified epithelia and simple epithelia, including glands, urothelium, thymic reticular epithelium, hepatocytes, intercalated disks of myocardium and arachnoid cells of meninges. Shows distinct punctate membrane staining of desmoplakins 1 (250kD) and 2 (215kD).

Supplied as a lyopihilized powder from PBS, pH 7.4, 0.5% BSA, 0.09% sodium azide. Reconstitute with 1ml sterile ddH2O.

Storage_stability
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degree C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degree C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degree C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degree C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
