CALRETININ This item recognises calretinin, a 29kDa calcium binding protein found mostly in the central nervous system and retina. It is a cytoplasmic protein involved in the regulation of calcium concentration, which is important in the regulation of a large variety of neuronal functions, including neurotransmitter release, ionic channel permeability, enzyme activity, and gene transcription. Mice deficient in calretinin show impairment in motor coordination. _x000D__x000D_Calretinin has also been shown as a sensitive and specific marker for mast cells.

For antibodies that are in liquid form or reconstituted lyophilized antibodies small amounts could become entrapped on the seal or the walls of the tube. Prior to use briefly centrifuge the vial to gather all the solution on the bottom.

This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided. Guinea pig ELISA kits for plasma and sera samples are used to study human genes through the guinea pig model (Cavia porcellus), also called the cavy rodent model. After mouzes and rats Guinea pigs are easy in maintained laboratory animals. cDNAs of Guinea pigs are also very popular.
