PARATHYROID HORMONE RELATED PEPTIDE This item is specific for Parathyroid hormone related peptide (PTHrP). PTHrP is involved in the formation of mammary glands and teeth, and it regulates bone development. It shares the same N-terminal as Parathyroid hormone (PTH) which allows it to bind to Parathyroid Hormone Receptor 1 (PTHR1). This receptor is responsible for hypercalcemia, which is an increase of calcium in the blood.
