CADHERIN 13 This item recognises human Cadherin 13, a 78 kDa, calcium-dependent, glycoprotein. While Cadherin 13 is a member of the cadherin family, it lacks their conserved cytoplasmic region, being instead anchored to the plasma membrane via glycosylphosphatidylinositol linkage. It is expressed in the heart and CNS with the exception of the cerebellum and spinal cord. _x000D__x000D_Cadherin 13 is classified as a cell-cell adhesion molecule, although it is likely that it's role is in signalling and not physical adhesion. It is involved in regulating low-density lipoprotein-initiated cell proliferation, keratinocyte proliferation, neural cell growth and may play a role in metabolic regulation. Cadherin 13 protects endothelial cells from oxidative stress-induced apoptosis and may contribute to progression of vascular disorders such as atherosclerosis, restenosis and tumour angiogenesis.

In order to retain the quality and the affinity of productone unchanged, please, avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. For antibodies that are in liquid form or reconstituted lyophilized antibodies small amounts could become entrapped on the seal or the walls of the tube. Prior to use briefly centrifuge the vial to gather all the solution on the bottom.

This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided. Antibody for research use.
