ACTH Rabbit anti Human ACTH polyclonal antibody recognizes human adrenocorticotrophic hormone, also known as corticotrophin. ACTH is a 4.5kDa hormone derived from cleavage of pro-opiomelanocortin (POMC), produced in the pituitary gland in response to corticotrophin releasing hormone (CRH) activity and functions to stimulate release of adrenal cortisol. Rabbit anti Human ACTH polyclonal antibody is directed against the N-terminal portion of adrenocorticotrophic hormone and also recognizes the ACTH cleavage fragment α-melanocyte stimulating hormone (α-MSH), responsible for melanin pigmentation control in most vertebrate species. Rabbit anti Human ACTH does not recognize the C-terminal ACTH cleavage product, corticotropin-like intermediary peptide (CLIP).

In order to retain the quality and the affinity of productone unchanged, please, avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. For antibodies that are in liquid form or reconstituted lyophilized antibodies small amounts could become entrapped on the seal or the walls of the tube. Prior to use briefly centrifuge the vial to gather all the solution on the bottom.
