GluR1 This antibody is specific for rat glutamate receptor subunit 1 (GluR1) when phosphorylated at serine 831. GluR1, widely expressed throughout the nervous system, is a component of AMPA receptors (alpha-amino-3-hydroxy-5-methyl-4-isoxalone propionic acid receptors), which play a key role at excitatory synapses. Phosphorylation of Ser831 and Ser845 is reported to potentiate GluR1 function, suggesting a possible role in synaptic plasticity, learning and memory.

In order to retain the quality and the affinity of productone unchanged, please, avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. For antibodies that are in liquid form or reconstituted lyophilized antibodies small amounts could become entrapped on the seal or the walls of the tube. Prior to use briefly centrifuge the vial to gather all the solution on the bottom.

This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided. Antibody for research use.
