  CAMPYLOBACTER JEJUNI This item detects Campylobacter jejuni, a curved, rod-shaped gram negative bacterium which is a member of the Campylobacteraceae family. They are motile with a polar unsheathed flagellum which results in a corkscrew like motion. They occur primarily as commensals in humans and domestic animals, particularly in chickens where gut temperatures of 42 degree C are optimal for growth. _x000D_ _x000D_Campylobacter jejuni are one of the most common causes of human diarrhea in the world. Food poisoning can be severely debilitating, although rarely life-threatening as the disease is self limiting. Campylobacter infections are also associated with postinfectious complications including arthritis, Reiter syndrome and Guillain-Barré syndrome.

  This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided. Antibody for research use.
