Source organismHuman (Homo sapiens)
-
Species reactivityBovine, Hamster, Human (Homo sapiens), Mouse (Mus musculus), Porcine, Rat (Rattus norvegicus), Xenopus; Due to limited knowledge and inability for testing each and every species, the reactivity of the antibody may extend to other species which are not listed hereby.
-
Specificity and cross reactivityRecognizes human VAMP on SDS-PAGE immunoblots at ~18kD. Recognizes the VAMP1 aa1-118 and the VAMP2 aa33-96-GST fusion proteins expressed in E. coli. No reactivity was seen with a ~18kD protein in mouse liver extracts. Species Crossreactivity: mouse, rat, bovine, hamster, porcine and Xenopus. ; Since it is not possible to test each and every species our knowledge on the corss reactivity of the antibodies is limited. This particular antibody might cross react with speacies outside of the listed ones.
-
Purification methodPurified by ammonium sulfate pecipitation.
-
Form AppearanceSupplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2, 0.1mM PMSF, 50% glycerol.
-

-
Storage and shippingStore the antibody at +4 degrees Celsius for short term storage.. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. For optimal long term storage, the antibody should be kept at -20 degrees Celsius. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
-
Tested applicationsWestern Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
-
PropertiesIf you buy Antibodies supplied by MBS Monoclonals they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.
-
DescriptionAssociated membrane protein types are lipopolysaccharide selective barriers. Biological membranes include cell membranes, outer coverings of cells or organelles that allow passage of certain proteins and nuclear membranes, which cover a cell nucleus; and tissue membranes, such as mucosae and serosae.
