AMPHIREGULIN This item is specific for amphiregulin, an epidermal growth factor (EGF)-related glycoprotein that is involved in the differentiation and proliferation of a wide range of cell types. These actions are mediated through binding to the EGF receptor. The amino acid sequence of the peptide immunogen applies to the 252 amino acid precursor from the 'areg' gene. This contains sites that may be glycosylated in the native molecule.
