Microscopic Examination
Fungal staining is carried out. Fungal Spores and hyphae are observed under microscope using high power (40X) objective lens after staining with Lactophenol cotton blue.

Fungal spores and hyphae : pale to dark blue.

Properties
Blue has a wavelength of around 480 nm and will make your sample visible. If your sample is too concentrated you can dissolve it in water.
