Kanamycin Acid Sulphate (5 x 5 g) by HiMedia Laboratories is an aminoglycoside antibiotic produced by Streptomyces kanamyceticus often used as an inhibitor to study cell-free protein biosynthesis to select for bacteria which have been successfully transformed with a plasmid conferring kanamycin resistance.
