    Granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factorĀ (GM-CSF), also known asĀ colony stimulating factor 2 (CSF2), is aĀ monomericĀ glycoprotein secreted byĀ macrophages,Ā T cells,Ā mast cells,Ā NK cells,Ā endothelial cellsĀ andĀ fibroblastsĀ that functions as aĀ cytokine. TheĀ pharmaceuticalĀ analogs of naturally occurring GM-CSF are calledĀ sargramostimĀ andĀ molgramostim. Reconstitution It is recommended that sterile ddH2O containing at least 0.1% human serum albumin or bovine serum albumin be added to the vial to prepare a stock solution of not less than 1 mg/mL of the cytokine.
