BackgroundTPX2 is a microtubule-associated protein, which is a critical regulator of mitosis. At the beginning of mitosis, TPX2 is released and plays a significant role in mitotic spindle formation and subsequent proper segregation of chromosomes during cell division. After completion of mitosis the TPX2 protein disappears, but has also role in DNA damage response. Its overexpression has been demonstrated in many types of carcinomas. TPX2 belongs to the markers of worse tumor prognosis. On the other hand, down-regulation of TPX2 can inhibit cancer cell proliferation, migration and invasion.

AboutMonoclonals of this antigen are available in different clones. Each murine monoclonal anibody has his own affinity specific for the clone. Mouse monoclonal antibodies are purified protein A or G and can be conjugated to FITC for flow cytometry or FACS and can be of different isotypes.
