Lugol's Iodine-250 mL- is on the WHO's list of essential medicines.It could be used in biological,microbiological, histological laboratory as a dye for labeling microscopic cell structures or as a reagent for the identification of amidon and as a mordant in the Gram staining.It could be used also to cover iodine deficiencies and as an antiseptic and a disinfectant.
