Description
Daidzein is an isoflavone phytoestrogen found in soybean, with antioxidant properties. It increases transactivation of estrogen receptor β-induced transcription. It binds to estrogen receptor β (ER-β; Ki = 2.8 µM) but not ER-α at concentrations up to 1 mM. Daidzein does not increase metastasis to lymph nodes and acts as a radiosensitizer in mice bearing PC-3 prostate tumors.
