Background of the antigen
Caspase 11 (also known as ICH3) gene encodes two protein products of 38 and 43 kDa that belong to the Ced3/ICE family of cysteine proteases. Caspase 11 is an “upstream†caspase with a long prodomain. It undergoes a cleavage upon activation, leading to p20 and p10 subunits. Monoclonal reacting specifically with caspase 11 are useful tools for the study of the protease network, involved in development and regulation, governing the life and death of cells and tissues.

Properties
For facs or microscopy Alexa 1 conjugate. Alexa Fluor 488 has the same range to that of fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), yet the Anti-Caspase 4+Caspase 11 has a very high photo stability. As a result of this photo stability, it has turned into an antibody for fluorescent microscopy and FACS FLOW cytometry. It is distinguished in the FL1 of a FACS-Calibur or FACScan. Also Alexa Fluor 488 is pH stable. If you buy Antibodies supplied by Bioss Primary Conjugated Antibodies. ALEXA FLUOR they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.
