ELISA s specificity
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of Calcitonin Gene Related Peptide (CGRP). No significant cross-reactivity or interference between Calcitonin Gene Related Peptide (CGRP) and analogues was observed.
-
ELISA s cross reactivity
This assay doesn't seem to cross-react with other species. For more information about cross-reactivity please contact us.

Assay principle
The microplate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with a monoclonal antibody specific to Calcitonin Gene Related Peptide (CGRP). A competitive inhibition reaction is launched between biotin labeled Calcitonin Gene Related Peptide (CGRP) and unlabeled Calcitonin Gene Related Peptide (CGRP) (Standards or samples) with the pre-coated antibody specific to Calcitonin Gene Related Peptide (CGRP). After incubation the unbound conjugate is washed off. Next, avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. The amount of bound HRP conjugate is reverse proportional to the concentration of Calcitonin Gene Related Peptide (CGRP) in the sample. Then the mixture of substrate A and B is added to generate glow light emission kinetics. Upon plate development, the intensity of the emitted light is reverse proportional to the Calcitonin Gene Related Peptide (CGRP) level in the sample or standard.

Precision of the test
Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): 3 samples with low, middle and high level Calcitonin Gene Related Peptide (CGRP) were tested 20 times on one plate, respectively. Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): 3 samples with low, middle and high level Calcitonin Gene Related Peptide (CGRP) were tested on 3 different plates, 8 replicates in each plate. CV(%) = SD/meanX100 Intra-Assay: CV

ELISA s stability
The stability of kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition. To minimize extra influence on the performance, operation procedures and lab conditions, especially room temperature, air humidity, incubator temperature should be strictly controlled. It is also strongly suggested that the whole assay is performed by the same operator from the beginning to the end.

QC
The Kit is manufactured at ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 certified facilities.

Description
cDNA genes are a locus (or region) of DNA for functional transcript RNA or protein. An ELISA is used to detect the expressed protein in biological fluids, serum, saliva. Peptides short amino acid chains or epitopes or blocking antagonists. The shortest peptides are dipeptides, consisting of 2 amino acids joined by a single peptide bond, followed by tripeptides, tetra peptides, ... till polypeptides that are long, continuous, and unbranched synthetic peptide chains. These biological oligomers and polymers can be Solid-phase peptide synthesis (SPPS), or in continue produced for custom peptide synthesis projects. The High-efficiency solid phase peptide synthesis (HE-SPPS) is give very low production costs. A microtiter plate (spelled Microtiter is a registered trade name in the United States) or microplate or micro well plate or multiwell, is a flat plate with multiple "wells" used as small test tubes. The microplate has become a standard tool in analytical research and clinical diagnostic testing laboratories. A very common usage is in the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), the basis of most modern medical diagnostic testing in humans and animals.
A microplate typically has 6, 24, 96, 384 or 1536 sample wells arranged in a 23 rectangular matrix. Some microplates have even been manufactured with 3456 or 9600 wells, and an "array tape" product has been developed that provides a continuous strip of microplates embossed on a flexible plastic tape.

Test
Mouse or mice from the Mus musculus species are used for production of mouse monoclonal antibodies or mabs and as research model for humans in your lab. Mouse are mature after 40 days for females and 55 days for males. The female mice are pregnant only 20 days and can give birth to 10 litters of 6-8 mice a year. Transgenic, knock-out, congenic and inbread strains are known for C57BL/6, A/J, BALB/c, SCID while the CD-1 is outbred as strain.
