Immunoglobulin M heavy chain (IGHM) fragment [Homo sapiens]

  • Catalog number
    A1073-1
  • Price

  • Size
    1mg
  • Description
The IGHM gene encodes the C region of the mu heavy chain, which defines the IgM isotype. Naive B cells express the transmembrane forms of IgM and IgD on their surface. During an antibody response, activated B cells can switch to the expression of individual downstream heavy chain C region genes by a process of somatic recombination known as isotype switching.
  • Formula
    C82H132N24O20
  • Molecular Weight
    1774.07
  • Additional description
Human proteins from Homo sapiens human species. Homo is the human genus, which also includes Neanderthals and many other extinct species of hominids. Specific human epitopes are selected for human ELISA kits.
  • Gene target
  • Gene symbol
    IGHM
  • Short name
    Immunoglobulin M heavy chain (IGHM) [ ]
  • Isotype
Antibody fragments and scFv fragments, single chain variable fragments can be E. coli expressed. Fragment peptides for polyclonals give monoclonal like antibodies as the epitope is very small. IgG Fc and(ab)2 fragments are small and stable subunits of the antibody obtained by enzymatic digestion. Complement fragments, bp DNA fragments are common.
  • Alternative name
Immunoglobulin M heavy epitope (immunoglobulin heavy constant mu) fragment [Homo sapiens]
  • Alternative to gene target
immunoglobulin heavy constant mu, IGHM and IDBG-124400 and ENSG00000211899 and 102725284, protein binding, multiple, Ighm and IDBG-222557 and ENSMUSG00000076617 and, IDBG-636218 and IDBG-636218 and ENSBTAG00000048049 and
