  • Description
Alpha-1 antitrypsin (A1AT), which is known as serum trypsin inhibitor, is a protease inhibitor belonging to the serpin superfamily. • Additional description
The alpha-1 antitrypsin is a α- or alpha protein sometimes glycoprotein present in blood.
  • Gene target
  • Gene symbol
    SERPINA1, SERPINA2, SERPINA7
  • Short name
    alpha-1 antitrypsin
  • Isotype
Antibody fragments and scFv fragments, single chain variable fragments can be E. coli expressed. Fragment peptides for polyclonals give monoclonal like antibodies as the epitope is very small. IgG Fc and(ab)2 fragments are small and stable subunits of the antibody obtained by enzymatic digestion. Complement fragments, bp DNA fragments are common.
  • Alternative name
    a-1 antitrypsin fragment
