Scientific contextDonkey anti-Rabbit IgG (H&L), F(ab)'2 Fragment, min. cross-reactivity to Bovine, Chicken, Goat, Guinea Pig, Hamster, Horse, Human, Mouse, Rat or Sheep is a secondary antibody which binds to rabbit IgG (H&L), F(ab)'2 Fragment in immunological assays.
-
NotesAntibody purity is > 90% based on SDS-PAGE Small amounts of intact IgG may be present.Affinity purified using solid phase Rabbit IgG .Antibody is supplied in 10 mM Sodium Phosphate, 0.15 M Sodium Chloride, pH 7.2. 0.05% (w/v) Sodium Azide is added as a preservative.Based on IEP, this antibody reacts with: - heavy (gamma) chains on Rabbit IgG - light chains on all Rabbit immunoglobulins .Based on IEP, no reactivity is observed to: - non-immunoglobulin Rabbit serum immunoglobulins - IgG from Bovine, Chicken, Goat, Guinea Pig, Hamster, Horse, Human, Mouse, Rat or Sheep.

AboutRats are used to make rat monoclonal anti mouse antibodies. There are less rat- than mouse clones however. Rats genes from rodents of the genus Rattus norvegicus are often studied in vivo as a model of human genes in Sprague-Dawley or Wistar rats.

HostRat, Donkeys or Equus africanus asinus are often used as host species to raise antibodies. Even Equus ferus or horse antibodies are different than donkey antibodies since we know horse anti donkey IgGs. For immunohistochemistry it is useful to use an anti-donkey or horse block if your primary antibody is a donkey anti-human. We provide also anti-donkey as a species antibodies and ELISA kits.

SpeciesSheep, Donkeys, Rats, The sheep (Ovis aries) ELISAs are detecting sheep proteins and antigens. Some epitopes will also recognize goat proteins. Sheep and goats are also used to produce polyclonals. An adult female sheep is referred to as a ewe a male as a ram, a castrated male as a wether, and a younger sheep as a lamb. Sheeps
