    [Donkey anti-Rat IgG (H&L) - Affinity Pure]
  • Reactivity
Rat. Cross Reactivity: Based on IEP, no reactivity is observed to non-immunoglobulin rat serum proteins
  • Specificity
Based on IEP, this antibody reacts with: heavy (gamma) chains on rat IgG, light chains on all rat immunoglobulins
  • Purity
Affinity purified antibody is > 95% based on SDS-PAGE Affinity purified using solid phase Rat IgG.

  • Storage_stability
Store at 2-8 degree C. Shelf Life: 1 year from date of receipt. Prepare working dilution prior to use and then discard.
  • Tested_application
Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), Immunofluorescence (IF), ELISA (EIA), Immunomicroscopy (IM)
  • Test
A high affinity purification column was use to purify anti- IgG (H L) - Pure, FITC Conjugate by MyBioSource by chromatographic size exclusion.
  • Description
This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided. Antibody for research use. The ultrapure anti- IgG (H L) - Pure, FITC Conjugate supplied from MyBioSource is supplied in 1. The reagent contains very low traces of production synthesis impurities and is highly purified by ultra filtration and distillation for the chemical compounds.
  • Latin name
    Equus africanus asinus, Rattus norvegicus
  • Properties
This MyBioSource Fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC) antibody is currently after some BD antibodies the most commonly used fluorescent dye for FACS. When excited at 488 nanometers, FITC has a green emission that's usually collected at 530 nanometers, the FL1 detector of a FACSCalibur or FACScan. FITC has a high quantum yield (efficiency of energy transfer from absorption to emission fluorescence) and approximately half of the absorbed photons are emitted as fluorescent light. For fluorescent microscopy applications, the 1 FITC is seldom used as it photo bleaches rather quickly though in flow cytometry applications, its photo bleaching effects are not observed due to a very brief interaction at the laser intercept. MyBioSource FITC is highly sensitive to pH extremes.
  • Conjugation
    Anti-FITC Antibody
  • About
Immunoglobulin gamma, IgG, mouse monoclonal H&L chain clones or rabbit, goat polyclonal antibodies have 4 parts. There are 2 heavy chains, 2 light chains. The IgG antibody has 2 antigen binding sites. They represent 70% or more of serum antibodies. This antibody can be antigen purified or protein A or G purified. For storage sodium azide is added or you can call us to request azide free antibody preparations. These will need colder storage temperatures. Rats are used to make rat monoclonal anti mouse antibodies. There are less rat- than mouse clones however. Rats genes from rodents of the genus Rattus norvegicus are often studied in vivo as a model of human genes in Sprague-Dawley or Wistar rats.

  • Host
Donkey, Donkeys or Equus africanus asinus are often used as host species to raise antibodies. Even Equus ferus or horse antibodies are different than donkey antibodies since we know horse anti donkey IgGs. For immunohistochemistry it is useful to use an anti-donkey or horse block if your primary antibody is a donkey anti-human. We provide also anti-donkey as a species antibodies and ELISA kits.

MeSH Data
  • Name
  • Concept
Scope note: Test for tissue antigen using either a direct method, by conjugation of antibody with fluorescent dye (FLUORESCENT ANTIBODY TECHNIQUE, DIRECT) or an indirect method, by formation of antigen-antibody complex which is then labeled with fluorescein-conjugated anti-immunoglobulin antibody (FLUORESCENT ANTIBODY TECHNIQUE, INDIRECT). The tissue is then examined by fluorescence microscopy.
