Species reactivity
Human (Homo sapiens); Due to limited knowledge and inability for testing each and every species, the reactivity of the antibody may extend to other species which are not listed hereby.
-
Specificity and cross reactivity
Selected for its ability to detect human DSCAM in direct ELISAs and Western Blots. In these formats, this antibody shows no crossreactivity with rhDSCAM-L1.; Since it is not possible to test each and every species our knowledge on the corss reactivity of the antibodies is limited. This particular antibody might cross react with speacies outside of the listed ones.
-
Purification method
Affinity Purified by Protein G affinity chromatography.
-
Form Appearance
Supplied as a lyophilized powder from a 0.2um filtered solution in PBS with 5% trehalose. Reconstitute with sterile PBS, 40-50% glycerol. If 0.2ml is used, the concentration will be 0.5mg/ml.

Storage and shipping
Lyophilized powder Store the antibody at +4 degrees Celsius for short term storage.. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile PBS with 40-50% glycerol and For optimal long term storage, the antibody should be kept at -20 degrees Celsius. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months the antibody should be stored at -20 degrees Celsius.. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
-
Tested applications
ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB)
-
Description
cell adhesion molecules play a role in cell growth and activation and are often identified by WB or ELISA as in the DSCAM (Down Syndrome Adhesion Molecule) Antibody. For cells, cell lines and tissues in culture till half confluency. Whole adhesion and interacting molecules are present in lysates used as reference for ELISA quantification of these molecules and their subunits.
-
Properties
If you buy Antibodies supplied by MBS Monoclonals they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.

Concept
Scope note:
The artificial induction of GENE SILENCING by the use of RNA INTERFERENCE to reduce the expression of a specific gene. It includes the use of DOUBLE-STRANDED RNA, such as SMALL INTERFERING RNA and RNA containing HAIRPIN LOOP SEQUENCE, and ANTI-SENSE OLIGONUCLEOTIDES.
