  • Long description
Fibronectins are a large group of glycoproteins that are composed of two structurally similar subunits, which are covalently linked by disulphide bonds. Each monomer consists of three types of repeating units: type I, type II and type III. The fibronectin molecule exists in multiple forms arising from alternative splicing of a single fibronectin gene, and many variants have been reported. Fibronectins are expressed by multiple cell types and are located in basement membranes and in the extracellular matrix (ECM). They also exist in a soluble form in the plasma. The fibronectins bind to a wide range of ligands including integrin molecules, heparin, collagen and fibrin. They are involved in a wide variety of cellular interactions with the ECM that are important in cell adhesion, migration, growth and differentiation.
  • Antibody come from
Clone 568 is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody derived by fusion of X63/Ag8.653 mouse myeloma cells with spleen cells from BALB/c mice immunized with high molecular weight proteins secreted by cultivated human fibroblasts.
  • Other description
Each vial contains 100µl 1mg/ml purified monoclonal antibody in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) containing 0.09% sodium azide.

    Mouse anti Fibronectin Antibody
  • Antibody is raised in
    Mouse
  • Antibody s reacts with
    Human
  • Antibody s reacts with these species
This antibody doesn't cross react with other species
  • Antibody s specificity
The mouse monoclonal antibody 568 recognises human fibronectin. The antibody reacts with an epitope located in the eighth type III repeat of fibronectin (the cell-attachment domain) and as a result recognises whole human fibronectin and many of its proteolytic fragments1.
  • Research interest
    Extracellular matrix
  • Application
Immunocytochemistry, Immunohistochemistry (frozen), Immunohistochemistry (paraffin), Immunoprecipitation, Radioimmunoassay
  • Antibody s suited for
The antibody 568 can be used for the detection of human fibronectin using Immunocytochemistry in cell cultures, immunohistochemistry on frozen tissues fixed with either acetone or 4% formaldehyde, and on paraffin embedded tissues after use of an antigen retrieval technique prior to staining, for example by trypsin digestion. It is also applicable for immunoprecipitation, and radioimmunoassay techniques. Optimal antibody dilutions for the different applications should be determined by titration.
  • Storage
Store at 4oC, or in small aliquots at –20oC.

  • Warnings
This product is intended FOR RESEARCH USE ONLY, and FOR TESTS IN VITRO, not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures involving humans or animals. This product contains sodium azide. To prevent formation of toxic vapors, do not mix with strong acidic solutions. To prevent formation of potentially explosive metallic azides in metal plumbing, always wash into drain with copious quantities of water. This datasheet is as accurate as reasonably achievable, but Nordic-MUbio accepts no liability for any inaccuracies or omissions in this information.
  • Description
This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.
  • Test
Mouse or mice from the Mus musculus species are used for production of mouse monoclonal antibodies or mabs and as research model for humans in your lab. Mouse are mature after 40 days for females and 55 days for males. The female mice are pregnant only 20 days and can give birth to 10 litters of 6-8 mice a year. Transgenic, knock-out, congenic and inbread strains are known for C57BL/6, A/J, BALB/c, SCID while the CD-1 is outbred as strain.
