Long descriptionRecognizes a protein of 110kDa, identified as CD106 (also known as vascular cell adhesion molecule-1 (VCAM-1) and INCAM-110). CD106 is a member of the Ig superfamily of adhesion molecules and is expressed at high levels on cytokine stimulated vascular endothelial cells, and at minimal levels on unstimulated endothelial cells. It is also present on follicular and interfollicular dendritic cells of lymph nodes, myoblasts, and some macrophages. CD106 serves as a ligand for leukocyte integrin 4 1 (VLA-4 or CD49d/CD29) and mediates cell adhesion of leukocytes to activated endothelium. It plays a role in various immunological and inflammatory responses.

TestMouse or mice from the Mus musculus species are used for production of mouse monoclonal antibodies or mabs and as research model for humans in your lab. Mouse are mature after 40 days for females and 55 days for males. The female mice are pregnant only 20 days and can give birth to 10 litters of 6-8 mice a year. Transgenic, knock-out, congenic and inbread strains are known for C57BL/6, A/J, BALB/c, SCID while the CD-1 is outbred as strain.
