General description
Aphid transmission protein (ORF II) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli. The protein can be with or without a His-Tag or other tag in accordance to customer's request. All of our recombinant proteins are manufactured in strictly controlled facilities and by using a well established technology which guarantees full batch-to-bact consistency and experiment reproducibility.

Technique
Open reading frame (ORF) is the part of a reading frame that has the potential to code for a protein or peptide. MBS Recombinant Orf cDNA gene closes are elongated codons without stop codons, usually UAG, UAA, UGA. The AUG codon within the ORF determines where the translation starts. Transcription termination is located after the ORF, after the translation stop codon.

Host
e. coli, Escherichia coli, Recombination of bioactive proteins and longer peptides in Escherichia Coli is done often with His tagging. MBS Recombinant supplies Rec. E. Coli affinity purified or tag purified antigens in 1 quantities or bulk volumes on request.

Concept
Scope note:
Technique using an instrument system for making, processing, and displaying one or more measurements on individual cells obtained from a cell suspension. Cells are usually stained with one or more fluorescent dyes specific to cell components of interest, e.g., DNA, and fluorescence of each cell is measured as it rapidly transverses the excitation beam (laser or mercury arc lamp). Fluorescence provides a quantitative measure of various biochemical and biophysical properties of the cell, as well as a basis for cell sorting. Other measurable optical parameters include light absorption and light scattering, the latter being applicable to the measurement of cell size, shape, density, granularity, and stain uptake.
