SMC1 This item is specific for human structural maintenance of chromosomes-1 (SMC1) which is phosphorylated at Ser957. SMC1 forms a heterodimer with SMC3, and is involved in sister chromatid cohesion and in DNA recombination and repair. SMC1 can be phosphorylated by ATM on serines 957 and 966 in vitro and in vivo in response to ionizing radiation SMC1 is also thought to act as a downstream effector in the ATM/NBS1 pathway of S-phase checkpoint.

In order to retain the quality and the affinity of productone unchanged, please, avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. For antibodies that are in liquid form or reconstituted lyophilized antibodies small amounts could become entrapped on the seal or the walls of the tube. Prior to use briefly centrifuge the vial to gather all the solution on the bottom.

This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided. Antibody for research use.
