Specificity and cross reactivity
CD107a This item specifically recognises human CD107a, otherwise known as LAMP-1 (lysosome-associated membrane protein-1), a 100-120kDa type I integral lysosomal membrane glycoprotein and member of the LAMP family, which transfers between lysosomes, phagosomes and the plasma membrane, and may play a role in lysosomal membrane protection and in lectin-mediated cell adhesion. _x000D__x000D_Studies have linked enhanced CD107a expression with the metastatic potential of some tumour cells, and with neurones and glial cells surrounding plaques in Alzheimer's patients. CD107a may also serve as a marker of mast cell activation.; Since it is not possible to test each and every species our knowledge on the corss reactivity of the antibodies is limited. This particular antibody might cross react with speacies outside of the listed ones.
