Background Information
BrD4 protein is homologous to the murine protein MCAP, which associates with chromosomes during mitosis, and to the human RING3 protein. Each of these proteins contains two bromodomains, a conserved sequence motif which may be involved in chromatin targeting. It plays a role in a process governing chromosomal dynamics during mitosis. BioVision's BrD4 recombinant protein includes Bromo 2 domain (342-460 aa) with a N-terminal His-tag.

Properties
Human proteins, cDNA and human recombinants are used in human reactive ELISA kits and to produce anti-human mono and polyclonal antibodies. Modern humans (Homo sapiens, primarily ssp. Homo sapiens sapiens). Depending on the epitopes used human ELISA kits can be cross reactive to many other species. Mainly analyzed are human serum, plasma, urine, saliva, human cell culture supernatants and biological samples.
