Background InformationLeucine-rich repeat protein 32 (LRRC32), also known as GARP (glycoprotein A repetitions predominant). LRRC32 expression promotes the acquisition of a Treg phenotype including reduced cellular proliferation, reduced cytokine secretion, and the capacity to suppress the proliferation of naïve T cells. LRRC32 binds directly to the TGF-beta latency associated peptide (LAP) and tethers latent TGF-beta on the surface of activated Treg cells. The presentation of TGF-beta on Tregs contributes to their ability to suppress naïve T cell proliferation.

UsageFor Research Use Only! Not to be used in humans
-
PropertiesHuman proteins, cDNA and human recombinants are used in human reactive ELISA kits and to produce anti-human mono and polyclonal antibodies. Modern humans (Homo sapiens, primarily ssp. Homo sapiens sapiens). Depending on the epitopes used human ELISA kits can be cross reactive to many other species. Mainly analyzed are human serum, plasma, urine, saliva, human cell culture supernatants and biological samples.
